I came home from work one day and found my mother, who never had an art lesson, surrounded by buckets of paint and brushes, painting an 8x15 foot long mural on the walls going up the center hall stairs. Outstanding!
Inspired by her, I worked in sculpture, pottery, music, photography, crafts, fabric art, and settled into my true love, painting.
I studied under local and national artists, including Pat Dews, David Kessler, David Daniels, Mark Mahferty, Linda Kemp, Carrie Brown, and others. I enjoy experimenting, employing a variety of techniques using watermedia and collage.
I am a resident artist at Gallery 209, a member of the Baltimore Watercolor Society, Montgomery Arts Association, and Rockville Art League. I have shown and won awards in juried shows at Strathmore, Baltimore Watercolor Society Mid-Regional Show, Rockville Art League, Montgomery Arts Association, Women’s Club of Chevy Chase, Friendship Heights Center, and Glen Echo.
